Online Safety Training

Not only do we have one of the largest online safety training library with over 1600 courses in Canada, but these online training courses are also used in-house and recognized by safety associations in Western Canada. Falling into a category of online safety, these are created with a unique combination. Each course is of multimedia elements, which may include high-impact videos, interactive games, dynamic animations, captivating graphics, voice-over audio, and probing questions designed to help engage trainees.

Discounts

Discounts for multiple courses or set up an account for your whole company so workers can advance by login on and taking one of several courses you've directed them to take. 

Corporate Account

A corporate account gives you access to a full Learning Management System custom-branded to your company’s website. The system allows you to effortlessly create accounts for your employees and assign them safety training courses from the library without the need to pre-buy any seats; you only pay for courses that your employees complete.

Inhouse Classroom Training

What we offer right now are 2 courses for inhouse classroom training. Each involves Fall Protection. However, the second course I just developed consists of a shorter version of fall protection due to an AWP Aerial Work Platform component was added. Even though some sections of the initial Fall protection course were omitted, the second manual has been increased from the original.

Training Offered 

Personal Fall Protection System Training Program

This being the first safety training program I designed. Instructed with a 198 frame PowerPoint presentation, this 8.5-hour course can be conducted at my location or at your site.  Because it is instructed at my location, at lunch I BBQ burgers for the whole class.  

Students receive and keep: 

• 65 page Student Manual 
• Laminated Wallet Certification Card
• laminated Fall Arrest and Restrain  distance calculation cards
• Blank Forms for workers use in the future. These being a Site-Specific Fall Protection Form, JSA, FLRA, Ladder  Inspection form, Fall Protection Equipment daily inspection form and Annual Inspection form, Scaffold Inspection form

Aerial Work Platform

AWP Fall Protection Combo Training 

This second course incorporating an Aerial Work Platform was a special request from the maintenance manager at one of the largest retail shopping centers in the Fraser Valley area.  Since this maintenance department has its own Genie Z45/25 Articulating Boom Lift, that's what the first manual is based on.

Tell me what kind of  Aerial Work Platform you own and a detailed manual will be created for the course we instruct your workers on.  A 77 Frame PowerPoint Presentation is used to instruct the class. This course is offered on location only. You must have the AWP your workers will be operating on location for the training. The duration is 8 hours.  

Students receive and keep: 

• 70 page Student Manual 
• Laminated Wallet Certification Card
• laminated Fall Arrest and Restrain  distance calculation cards
• Blank Forms for workers use in the future. These being a Site-Specific Fall Protection Form, JSA, FLRA, Ladder  Inspection form, Fall Protection Equipment daily inspection form and Annual Inspection form,  AWP Boom Lift Pre-Trip Inspection form 

My Policy and a Promise

I made it a point that FreeBird Safety Services will never let a student worker leave with a failing mark. That's not to say they’re easy courses or I’m handing out passing grades at will. That's a moral, ethical, and legal issue. No, I have a policy that if a student fails the final exam, sections that students need further instruction on will get it. For a couple of additional hours if required. Together we will work on it until they understand the curriculum. Their safety, maybe their job, and most certainly their life depends on it. If a student still requires further assistance, they may come back after 24 hours to review what’s a need. Free of charge.
