Complete Ignorance Regarding Safety
The Uneducated Facebook Policy is the result of a Complete Ignorance Regarding Safety. An absolute lack of knowledge, dictated the decision to delete content based on their Woke Misinformation. With the truth now coming out about Twitter and how they manipulated posts to their own illogical thinking, the time has come to force Facebook to take a good look in the mirror.
A number of years ago, back in January 2013 I was trained by 3M to conduct Qualitative Respirator Fit Testing. What this entails qualifies me to ensure a persons PPE respirator has achieved a seal to the persons face. This intern coupled with the appropriate HEPA filters help ensures a person’s safety from breathing in harmful airborne contaminants. Governed by Worksafe BC, the criteria for a fit test such as this is set forth by the Canadian Standards Association under CSA Z94.4-02
Commonly used in the construction sectors as well as general industry, oil and gas, as well as mining, academic fields tent to use these devices as well. Scientists, Laboratory Researchers, and others of such fields also donn these devices for their personal protection. Yet soon a lot of other fields would be required to use these devices in order to work.
Jump forward to 2020 and the world shut down due to Covid-19. In British Columbia Canada, everybody was told to stay home, isolate for 2 weeks if ill, and everybody must wear a mask when in public. However, there are some occupational fields that couldn’t abide by those rules. First Responders, Medical / Dental Professionals, and construction were also exempted. Yet in order to do what they are trained to do, a mask was not in any way protection for the ones needing to still keep working. A respirator was and still is the protection required for that person’s own safety.
In February 2020 I started receiving requests for my respirator fit testing service in epic numbers. The professional fields listed were scheduling appointments forcing me to work 18 hour days. The vast majority where medical and dental practitioners as well as their support and office staff. The Healers and Protectors of our community were themselves asking for protection. With over 98% of other same service providers discontinuing the serve of respirator fit testing for fear of catching covid, who was I to deny the request of those who needed us most. So, it began.
Covid-19 Protection
With already 7 years experience and over a thousand construction workers under my belt, I was about to add another 3000 people in the short span of 16 months requiring Covid-19 Protection. Under the CSA standard, an informative safety orientation was narrated verbally by myself. In the content, instructions of the teardown, cleaning, and reassembling of respirators was demonstrated. An even larger factor now was the reuse of what was once considered a disposable N95 cloth respirator. Included with that was the storage and disinfecting procedures required for reuse of this extremely limited supply.
Medical PPE
In a number of instances, I found myself in a very large meeting room or on a outdoor field. Standing in front of 30 to 50 medical / dental community members at a time. All listening to the safety orientation I needed to narrate about their Medical PPE. Prior to this I researched and educated myself of what these professionals were going to face for Hazards in their occupations. Covid and aerosols, the forces of such coming from an individual by way of talking, laughing, coughing and sneezing were a large focus. With this new knowledge I delivered a narrative of safety that kept the audience attention 100%.
At one fit testing appointment at the University of Fraser Valley Chilliwack, an instructor was watching my speech being delivered. Instructing new nursing students, she was standing with the schools Dean. What the Dean said to her was a huge vote of confidence. Conveyed to her was how she loved the way I “brought the students to the edge of a cliff, showed them what was over the edge, then held their hand as I brought them back, teaching them about respirators, covid and their safety.”
Deep into 2020, fall was approaching and I actually had a second of free time. Well, not really that free. I started updating my company’s online presence. One piece of that was my Facebook Page for my company, and the service of Respirator Fit Testing. I decided to create an advertisement on that platform for the service. The result was one I never would have anticipated. Denied by Facebook Advertising Policy.
Uneducated Facebook Policy
My Facebook ad for the service of Qualitative Respirator Fit Testing was rejected and quickly removed from all advertising forums on Facebook. The Uneducated Facebook Policy reason given that even today I can’t get a true description of. Claiming one violation was an advertising policy. The other, Facebook in their Uninformed, Uneducated, Woke Ways, stated I was providing a “Medical and Healthcare Product”.

This is the list of “Medical and Healthcare Product” disallowed for advertising as per their policy statement.
- Contact lenses, reading and prescription glasses
- Thermometers
- Testing kits for medical conditions or diseases
- First-aid kits
- Breast Pumps
- Medical products or services
- Cosmetic procedures including, but not limited to, dermal fillers and Botox
- Injectable products and intravenous services
- Products, including food or drinks, that make health or medical claims
- Nicotine patches
- Nicotine gum and adult nutritional formula
The decision stated by Facebook was so stupid and completely off the mark, I still can’t figure out their reasoning. Then I heard Jordan Pederson recite a phrased of a Russian novelist.

That’s when it seemed to make a little sense. The reasoning they used was due to who I was fit testing. They saw me post the word "medical" a number of times, refering to my new clients. Deleting my ad post was the only backdoor legal why to basically slap me. Guessing prior post and my twisted sense of hummer was the catalyst. Punishment for my refusal to conform to the Woke, Millennial, Generation Z, Hardcore Leftist Ideology.
