Because it's mandated under law, I was commissioned by the maintenance manager of a MEGA retail shopping mall to develop this training program for his maintenance workers. As a result, parts of my original course Personal Fall Protection Training were used and this new training program was born. However, some aspects were not required from the first course. Most importantly, are the sections that instruct workers about Fall Protection Harnesses, lanyards, and Anchor Points.

Self Propelled AWPs and Scissor Lifts

Subsequently, the second part has been structured around an AWP man lift. Therefore, a structured manual was designed around the Genie Self Propelled Z45/25 Articulating Boom Lift as per our client's request. Certainly, clients can request their manual be created for their own specific Aerial Work Platform. In addition, with the 70-page Student Manual, trainees will find this course easy to comprehend as we go through a 77 frame PowerPoint presentation. Above all else, each person will need to pass a 30-question multiple-choice test with an 80% or greater mark. In addition, they will also need to prove proficiency in conducting a pre-trip and operating Procedures of an AWP.

Training is on Your Site

Training is on your site. Is this way, it's your equipment workers will be operating, so why not utilize it for the training. All that's required is an area for classroom instruction, consisting of a few tables, chairs, and power. Of course, during the weekdays when a site is fully active with workers might cause issues. So if you prefer we can training your staff on a Saturday or Sunday. Your choice. We can work with whatever is the safer course of action for you.

Subsequently, the initial student manual was constructed with our first client’s equipment in mind. However, we do recognize there are a number of other manufactures of AWP lifts. Likewise, the needs you have will be met. As a result, and on request at no extra charge, a student manual for your application will be created. Because different manufactures like Genie, JLG being the most used, they can be very different. To sum up, Spiders, Scissors, Telescoping, and Articulating all operate differently.
