A Clearance letter is a document issued by WorkSafe BC that shows a company’s status with WorkSafe. If at any time a company is hired by another, they must have WorkSafe BC Coverage in order to conduct business in BC if you have employees. As a Construction Site Safety Professional who handles the whole safety program for a specific development location, I need 3 things from a subcontractor prior to them arriving on site. Sub-Contractors must produce and submit to me a copy of their OH&S Manual, Certification and Training Documentation for any of their workers who will be on-site, and the aforementioned document.
