Construction Safety First Aid Services came after I developed my Occupational Health and Safety business and years of experience in the trades. Totaling over 30 years now in General Construction, the main focus is the safety of the site, workers and management, and any visitors who arrive. Occupational Health and Safety in construction is just as vital as the architectural plans for the project. Leading in worker injuries and fatalities is proof we all need to do better. While taking the role with the utmost serious professionalism, yet never conducting the duties with a safety police mentality. Rather than working with management, the trades, and laborers to arrive at a correct solution to any problems that might occur

Construction Safety First Aid Services
Several services in occupational health and safety I can perform on a general construction site to increase safety are listed below. Notwithstanding a combination format, or individually, allow me to assist you in gaining an Incident and Accident-free work environment for all. With a goal of zero incidents and accidents, the reality is construction safety isn't perfect. Being able to foresee upcoming hazards and by using the Hierarchy of Hazard Controls, address the problem thereby insulating workers and property is one of the main goals. In addition, helping crews derive a safer approach to a hazardous task instills trust and camaraderie in the whole crew. At the same time, a full comprehension of the WorkSafe BC Regulations is essential.

The Numbers on a Construction Site
Not being one who really agrees with the advertisement sign on site bosting how many days or working hours the sites have been injury-free, they could have an opposite effect in some cases. In light of a huge number, a sign at the front entrance of a construction site for all to see might prevent some from reporting an injury. As an example, a New and Young Worker all of 19 or so on a site with 200 workers sustained a broken finger. He knows the pride of some with that number. His fears of bringing it to zero might start to overwhelm him.
The Result
In spite of the injury and pain, they might not report the injury thinking of the looks they might receive or worse. Remember he's new and despite the orientations, He scared to be that one worker who's new and knocked that number to nothing. However, on one site I have overseen worker hours accumulating to over 155,000 and only 83 minor injuries occurred. The majority being small cuts, bruises, and ergonomics.
